One of the most common misconceptions about the Berkeley EWMBA is that it isn’t for career changers or switchers, and that’s definitely not true. We have plenty of students whose goals are to change industries and/or job functions, and some advanced planning with our Career Management team dedicated to the needs of the EWMBA student can make your goals attainable.
Your career to-do list for the first year in the EWMBA program depends on your career goal.
- Progressor – Moving ahead in your same career trajectory for industry and function, i.e. Manager to Director
- Switcher – Changing your job function, industry, or both
- Entrepreneur – In any phase of starting your own business
